Kwahu Tafo is a rural farming town of about 9,500 citizens…located on the Kwahu ridge it is one of the highest points in the country. From the vantage point of our town one can see Bruku, the sacred rock, and Lake Volta one of the largest man made lakes in the world.
The people for the most are subsistence farmers and small market traders. From these markets one can get beautiful fresh vegetables and always a pleasant greeting “wo ho te sen?”, and your reply of “mehoye, pa, pa”. (“how are you?” “i am fine, very fine”) at this point one’s language skills may be exhausted so switch to English most people will understand you but you will have made a friend by your attempt at Twi.
